Downtown Trick or Treat - today!

Friday, October 28th  3:00-5:00pm


Children are invited to dress up in their costumes and come to downtown Gardiner for some Halloween Fun!! From the Gardiner Public Library to the A1 Diner - as well as Emery's Meats and Subway and US Cellular and Canton Village - you will find many of of our downtown businesses handing out treats of all kinds! Ampersand Academy Of Arts dancers will also have a performance in the street. Participating businesses will have a pumpkin sign displayed in their windows. Join & share the event on Facebook 

Downtown Water Street Will Be Closed During The Event. Water Street from the post office to the Church Street intersection will be pedestrian only from 3-5pm.  This is a very busy event - please plan ahead and drive with caution during this time. Trick or treaters should also and be alert when walking in the area and at crosswalks.

MIX - Social Networking

Wednesday, November9th, 5-6:30pm, Table Bar, 207 Water St

Gardiner Main Street is excited to connect with the community with our monthly Mix Face to Face Social Networking events! November's Mix will be co-hosted with the Table Bar. Enjoy some light appetizers or purchase a glass of wine, or a bottle for later while you meet others in the community. This free event is open to all, whether you live, work, volunteer, or visit Gardiner. This event is a great way for those new to the area to connect with others. Celebrate our community, learn about events and happenings, and network with others. This “after hours” event takes place the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 5-6:30pm. Folks typically drop anytime in for as long or as short as they would like.

The Holiday Season is quickly approaching and we wanted to make sure you have a chance to pencil in all of the upcoming Gardiner events! We are thrilled to bring you the Parade of Lights again this year along with the Downtown Tree Lighting, Shop Small Saturday and more!

Here is the list of dates to keep in mind as you plan your holiday activities:
  • Reny's Early Bird Sale: Saturday 11/5, 6-9am
  • Shop Small Saturday: Saturday 11/26
  • Downtown Tree Lighting & ArtWalk: Friday 12/2, 5-8:30

Johnson Hall's Spooktacular Costume Bowling Party

Sparetime Recreation, Hallowell - Sunday, October 30th, 6-7:30pm

Join in for some spooky fun! There will be glow bowling, music, costume contests and more. Up to six children/adults per lane. The lane comes with shoes for each bowler. $80 per lane. There will be a costume contest with prizes for the scariest, most original and best group themed (4 or more individuals must dress in the same theme to be eligible to win this prize). New Story Walk Trail at the Middle School 

Grand Opening Fri, Nov 4 at 3:30, Gardiner Regional Middle School
Celebrate the new story walk installation located on the left side corner parking lot of the Gardiner Middle School. The first book on display is "The Wildlife Tree" by Peter & Deborah Emery - who will be presenting at the ribbon cutting event on 11/4!

Gardiner Rotary Turkey Trot

Saturday, November 19th 7:30-9pm

The Gardiner Rotary Club is excited to bring back the Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk! Registration is now open!  This year’s race will take place at The Gardiner Common on November 19 at 9:00am. Costumes are encouraged at this year’s event so get dressed up in your favorite Thanksgiving outfit. There will also be a special guest at this year’s event who is a world-renowned athlete, as well as a Gardiner Native. We hope to see on the 19th for this year’s Turkey Trot!

Johnson Hall Stand Up Comedy Series

The Blind Pig Next Level, 11 Mechanic St
Saturay, November 19th 7:30-9pm

Johnson Hall's Stand Up Comedy Series, hosted by Mark Turcotte, presents an evening of hilarious stand-up comedy! Give your funny bone a workout as some of New England’s funniest comics take the stage and present their unique brand of humor. You’ll hear jokes about life in Maine, the meaning of life – and everything in between. Each show will feature three comedians, last for approximately 90 minutes. These performances are intended for mature audiences and will contain adult language and content. This month's line up will include Tuck Tucker, Chris Justice, Crystal Bernard, Fred Dearnley. This performance is for ages 21+. The venue is not handicap accessible.
