Holiday Bazaar this weekend; Pet Costume Contest now online

Holiday Bazaar on October 29

Join Fur Kids Foundation for a fun day of fabulous holiday shopping and socializing to help keep pets healthy in Campbell County, Wyoming! The Holiday Bazaar takes place October 29 from 9 am-3 pm at the CAMPLEX Central Pavilion at 1635 Reata Drive in Gillette, Wyoming. Entrance is free for attendees. Raffles and door prizes will be drawn!

Vendor Bingo

Each attendee is given a bingo card with a square corresponding to each vendor booth; attendees are encouraged to visit each booth to learn about their product/service and get their card stamped/initialed. Attendees can turn in their fully stamped vendor bingo card to win a door prize (prizes to be announced soon).

Raffle

1 ticket for $1, 6 for $5 or an arm's length for $20. The drawings will take place at 2:30 pm—you do not have to be present to win.

Howl-o-ween Pet Costume Contest Goes Online; now FREE!

With Parvo cases continuing to rise, the Fur Kids Foundation Board of Directors CANCELLED the Pet Costume Contest at the Holiday Bazaar on October 29 at 11 am. We feel it is in the best interest of the dogs in our community that we not have them gather and risk any of our contestant’s health.

The contest has moved to an online format and will be posted on our Pet Costume Contest Facebook event page. Free entries will be taken until Halloween and the judges will award winners on November 1. Please feel free to still dress your pets in costume and post pictures!

Categories are Small dogs/cats and Large dogs. Petco will award one prize for each category, prizes will need to be picked up at Petco after you are notified. Judges will separate the categories as needed.

We will refund those who pre-registered for the event.

Are your pets vaccinated for Parvovirus?

Fur Kids Foundation has had a number of applications for parvo puppies. Parvo is a HIGHLY contagious virus that affects dog's gastrointestinal tracts that can be prevented with vaccinations. Parvo is very expensive to treat, and sadly, also very deadly. Please visit with your veterinarian about getting your puppies set up on their puppy shots, always follow the "no feet on the ground" rule while in public places until they are fully vaccinated. Charity in Bloom!

If you need a beautiful arrangement this month check out Crazy Daisy Floral's October Charity in Bloom. 10% will be donated to Fur Kids Foundation from three beautiful fall sunflower arrangements this month. Prices range from $40 to $120, and it can be ordered online, picked up and delivered. Thank you Crazy Daisy!
