SPARTAN MEN AND MASCULINITY NETWORK

Friday's, 1pm-3pm

Program Mission
Spartan Men and Masculinity Network programming was created to bring men, male, and masculine identified students together to explore and unpack the intricacies of their identities as a community. To challenge gender-based violence in the community by creating increased understanding and knowledge about the role of masculinity in gender-based violence. Reframing the views, beliefs, social constructs, and expectations regarding masculinity. What is it?
Spartan Men and Masculinity Network is a programming consisting of a cohort series and campuswide events meant to explore masculinity, men’s and/or masculine privilege, connecting the intersections of masculinities, comprehending masculinities as they pertain to gender-based violence, and how to utilize masculine privilege to serve as a change agent. Why should I join?
Spartan Men and Masculinity Network is a great way to dive deep into different aspects of masculinity, working through the ways it personally impacts us on a personal level, and how it fits into the larger gender-based violence narrative. This space will also help reframe the narrative and unrealistic expectations restrictive masculinity creates. How do I join?
Participants can fill out an interest form, be nominated by someone on campus, or reach out to Garrett McAlister at  for more information. What is the time commitment?
The Spartan Men and Masculinity Network cohort series is a 6-week long program. Each session will be 2 hours and cover a range of different topics pertaining to masculinity. This time will be Friday's from 1-3PM.CLICK HERE FOR INTEREST /NOMINATION FORM
