This roundup is full of stories, and resources to inspire and keep you moving.
“Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for the present, and creates a vision for the future." Melody Beattie

A time to be thankful. A time to take stock.

Autumn is here and it's one of our favourite times of the year. Brilliant colours of red, gold and yellow put our senses into overdrive and help us to truly appreciate the artistry of Mother Nature.  It's also a time to celebrate the bounty of our efforts throughout the year and to take time to be thankful for all that's good and plentiful in our lives.

In our SWSCD Fall Roundup, we want to take the time to shout out the many folks we've had the chance to work with in 2022. We want to thank everyone who have helped us to tell their stories, host events and the many businesses, organizations and professionals who have chosen to share their expertise, enthusiasm and their willingness to partner with SWSCD to help women get on the move.

And, finally, we want to warmly thank the many active and sport-loving women and their supporters who have chosen to join our SWSCD community and support our efforts to help each other feel welcome, celebrated and a sense of belonging within the world of sport, with each other and within the communities where we live and work.

We wish you a happy and healthy fall season. We hope your own bounty of goodness runs deep and you have much to be thankful for too.

New Partnerships - New Ways to Inspire

Gravelocity Cycling Getaways & SWSCD

A big thank you to Gravelocity Cycling Getaways and Chief Gravelleur Rich Martyn for joining forces with SWSCD to provide women a chance to experience the world of gravel cycling. Riders had the chance to take in the amazing scenery of both the Caledon Trailway and the Elora Cataract Trailway while maximize their opportunity to build confidence, competence and enjoy the company of new friends. Click on the pics below to get a feel on how we rolled with each of our Intro to Gravel Cycling events.

Ontario University Athletics & SWSCD

SWSCD is excited to partner with Ontario University Athletics and together we will shine a spotlight on the "See How She Got Started" stories of OUA Conference student athletes who have earned the opportunity to represent their chosen post-secondary university and how they made their way to playing at the OUA level. In the coming months, we'll share insights including what the students love about being a student athlete and lots of important takeaways they've learned throughout their sport journey. A great way to raise the profile of university athletics happening throughout Ontario. Watch this space for more.

Sport Aurora & SWSCD

SWSCD is also pleased to collaborate with Sport Aurora and support their efforts to showcase local athletes and businesses as well as community sport and recreation and its impact on the Town of Aurora, Ontario. As a regular contributor to their Sport in Aurora Magazine, we have the opportunity to share stories and helpful information that get women and their families on the move and in the know.  Thank you Sport Aurora.
