Frances (Frankie) was born in St. Louis, MO on November 2, 1941, to Louis Denzil and Bernadine Pearl (Smart) Duggins. Sometime after America entered WW2, her parents moved her and her older sister Jackie Caroline to Vallejo, CA where they had war related jobs. Her youngest sister Nedra Marie was born there. After the war, they moved to the central valley of California. They lived in Ivanhoe and Fresno then Modesto. It was here at the 1st Southern Baptist Church when she was 10 years old that she asked Jesus into her life. Looking for work and wanting to be near her mother's sisters and other family, they moved to Redlands in about 1952. Whenever they traveled, the girls would sing together harmonizing.

They lived in Redlands and San Bernardino where she attended school. When she was 15 years of age, she got married and dropped out of school. She had 3 sons: Michael Wayne, Mark Louis and Mitchell James. When her marriage ended, she had to find a full-time job. She was one of the first meter maids hired by the city of Redlands. She then decided to go into law enforcement and was hired by San Bernardino County Sheriff in 1973. She barely passed the height requirements. She had on a wig. She was one of the first women to be out in a patrol unit. She was assigned to Fontana on the graveyard shift alone.

She met Donald Wayne Boles and after they committed themselves to God, they committed themselves to each other and were married on March 22, 1982. This added Wayne’s children Tara Lynn, Lanis Ann, Troy Wayne and Jason Kirk to her family. They moved to San Diego and started a yacht maintenance business. They joined the Baptist Church and here they met Diu, Lanh, Hien and Merry who were quickly embraced as daughters. Now adding her precious daughter-in-law Linda, there were an even dozen. Together they had 22 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.

Frances experienced heartbreak and loss as she was preceded in death by her parents, her son Michael, grandsons Michael Dale and James Keith, sister  Jackie and 3 half-sisters Lahlee, Barbara and Jeannette. She experienced great joy and love through her God, her husband Wayne, her sons, grandchildren, family and friends.

Please keep the Boles family in your hearts and prayers.
