From the Chair
I would personally like to give a big shout out to our local community for supporting the St Andrews Festival - I was completely overwhelmed by the numbers that showed up on the day especially after such a shaky start with pretty much rain all night and well into mid-morning. But by mid-afternoon the skies were clear (or clearish!) and people turned up in droves…. it really was heart warming to see everybody embrace their local Festival.
Thank you for the positivity surrounding the event, we have had a lot of good feedback which is wonderful to hear. Of course, if you have any suggestions as to how we could make the event even better please let us know – we are ALWAYS open to suggestions – after all it can only be a success if we deliver events that our community wish to engage with.

Success
Like Sandy said, after a very soggy start, what a fantastic festival we had! Thank you to all the participants, community stall holders, organisation information stands and entrants for the art show. Of course an event like this just doesn't happen without the generous support of all the volunteers that gave up their time to help pull the event together. At the risk of forgetting someone, I won't individually name those volunteers, but the task list was long! We had cleaners in the Centre, attendants for the Art Show, the helpers for the Devonshire Teas, parking marshalls, stage manager, people to set up and pack down, signage, bar attendants, BBQ cookers and many tasks competently handled by the members of the Men's Shed.
We would love to continue holding this festival every second year, so if you have a yearning to be involved, please get in touch with us, we'd be happy to have you on board!
