Could networking help your business? We are keen to test the level of interest in running such events and would very much like to know whether you would support the idea.

The approach we are considering initially is focused on breakfast sessions that start with the meal followed by a series of short ‘elevator pitches’. The idea is not so much to make any immediate ‘sales’ but to build long-term awareness. Members who have been involved previously say that the benefits can be substantial.

This is our preliminary thinking:

• Meet at a local venue that can offer breakfast 
• Run from say 7am to 8.30am
• Each participant speaks for around two minutes to introduce his / her business
• Individual networking to follow
• Cost £12 to £14 per participant
• Run on say a fortnightly basis from mid-January
