Fresh Art Wraps Now Decorate
10 Traffic Boxes in District 3
County Council member Dannielle Glaros, District 3 partnered with the Hyattsville CDC to sponsor ten traffic art wraps in her district.
Since 2017, the Hyattsville Community Development Corporation (HCDC) has conducted a program designed to transform select traffic signal cabinets in Prince George’s County into public artworks. Traffic signal cabinets – the stainless steel structures located at every signalized intersection – are vulnerable to graffiti and vandalism. This project utilizes a public art application to address community blight and enhance the visual landscape.
