Is digitalisation a way into the future or -another- barrier to claiming asylum?
Dear everyone,
From October 2021 to September 2022, together with five students from Sciences Po Paris, we have investigated the digitalisation of the asylum procedure in Greece. We’ve conducted interviews with actors from 13 organisations working with asylum seekers in Greece and asked them: is digitalisation a way into the future or -another- barrier to claiming asylum?
Our report demonstrates how the alleged modernisation of the Greek asylum system is actually making matters worse, primarily for asylum seekers, but also for the organisations dedicated to supporting them. To find out about our results, visit our website and read the full report!

The aim of the report is to increase public understanding of the challenges created by the digitalisation of asylum procedures in Northern Greece and to advocate for systemic change from the competent authorities, policy makers and political leadership at the national as well as the EU level.
