Help plan for the future here in Beacon

The City of Beacon is currently developing a Community Facility and Program Report. The Report will include an inventory of existing recreational facilities and programs and a community needs assessment to identify and evaluate opportunities to improve and build upon existing programs and facilities. Based on the findings of the Inventory and Assessment, the City shall develop a final report outlining alternatives and prioritized recommendations for the potential provision of additional facilities, programs, and services for the next ten (10) years.
 
Please help the City of Beacon plan the future of its community facilities and programs. This survey is open to all users of Beacon’s community facilities and programs. It is our hope to determine the need for a centrally located “Community Center” to assist in serving the current and future needs for our community.
 

Great news right?! You may be asking yourself, “how can I help?” Well, let’s talk about that a minute…..

1. You may already be familiar with lots of great facilities and programs here in Beacon but please take a few minutes to review the Community Facility and Program Inventory. As you will see, there are many facilities and programs managed by the City of Beacon but this is just a portion of what is available to the residents of the City of Beacon. Many great entities provide facilities and programs for the residents of the City of Beacon. They include state and county agencies, local non-profits, as well faith based and civic organizations, to name a few. Now you have a little background it’s time to…….
2. TAKE THE SURVEY!!!! The complete survey should take you about 20 minutes to complete. Outreach and participation are key to having a better understanding of what or community uses and what our community seeks for the future.
3. Spread the word! We would very much appreciate your help in getting the our community to participate. Consider sending this to your friends and families. Share our social media posts. Add a personal note as to how this could help your school, your organization, the park you love, or programs you utilize.
