Grades 6-8:  9:30-10:30a in Room 204 - Let's Talk About Anxiety
Grades 9-12:  9:30-10:30a in Sr Youth Room 207 - A Conversation on Anxiety.
All Ages & Grades: 11a-12p Worship in the Sanctuary or Great Hall
Explorers & Parents: 12:15-5p. (Parents done at 2p) in Sr Youth Room 207. Opening mini retreat!

Sell Greens for Mission Trip!

This is a great opportunity!  
1) We meet the decorating needs of our congregation
AND 2) We raise money for the mission trip!
The last time we did this, each youth selling greens for each 30 minute shift raised $53 towards their mission trip fundraising requirement. (That's $106/hour!!!)  Sign up now!  All you have to do is be friendly at a table in the church parlor. We also need a few to package and sort after they arrive (hot chocolate and theme music provided!). First come, first served.  Reserve your spot by texting or emailing Curt. 216-903-9610, ccampbell@cotsumc.org.

Get Acolyte Trained!

Thursday, October 27, 6:30-7:30pm in the Sanctuary


Acolytes help make worship services great. They carry in the Big Bible and cross, carry in and light the altar candles, assist with collecting the offering, and help serve Communion. Acolytes serve on Communion Sundays (first Sundays of the month)

This Sunday - The Details  

Sunday

   What (Grades 7-12):  After each worship service. In the parlor. Sell greens to raise money for the mission trip. Details above.

   What (Grades 6-8):  9:30-10:30a in Room 204 (over the COTS Café). When it comes to anxiety, what if we're not on our own?
 
   What (Grades 9-12):  9:30-10:30a in Sr Youth Room 207 (over the parlor). What could it look like to move through our anxiety?
 
   What (Explorers & Parents):  12:15-5p. Meet & pick up in Sr Youth Room 207. Parents are done at 2:00pm. Lunch is included. It's our opening retreat! 

   When:   Sunday, Oct 30, times as indicated.      Why:   So we can grow in our faith to act on our faith.    How:   Complete the COTS Kids & Youth Registration & Med Info form for this school year.

Rise up against hunger!

 
   Who:    You & your friends & MANY other youth in grades 6-12 from the East Ohio Conference.
   Parents:  We'd love to have a couple parents join us - are you interested? Please contact Curt.    Registration:  SUPER helpful, but not required. Sign up HERE
   When:  Sunday, Nov 13, 12:15 - 6:00 pm.    REQUIRED:  COTS Kids & Youth Reg & Med Info 2022-2023 if you haven't done it yet this year.    Where:  Meet and pick up in the Great Hall lobby of the church.  The event is being held at Wadsworth Middle School (150 Silvercreek Rd, Wadsworth, OH 44281).    What:    Pack 50,000 meals in just a couple of hours with a few hundred youth from the East Ohio Conference.    Why:     This is serving a LOT of people with a lot of people. It's a great event to bring a friend to. And it's fun.    Lunch:   Bring a sack lunch for after church or eat before you arrive.    Dinner:   Bring $5 for dinner - we'll fast food it on the way home.    Cost:      $10 for the meal packing. $5 for dinner on the way home. Assistance is always available - contact Curt.

It's the most wonderful time of the year! This one is great for the whole family. Care for those who need some fall cleanup help. Walking tacos when we're done! Details and signup HERE!

Thursday Nights Together

After dinner we are going to get trained up for Acolyting.

Thursday Nights Together is a meal and hang out followed by small groups and music groups. There are opportunities for the entire family - like EVERYONE. We will have an open meal (meaning come any time) for $3/person from 5:30-6:30. Then from 6:30-7:30 there will be music groups for kids, youth, and adults, small groups for kids, youth, and adults, and nursery care.
