Nothing and no one can separate us from the love of God.
(Romans 8:38-39)

I know it seems as if our world is crumbling beneath us. There is great isolation. There is great suffering. There are nights when many feel alone, separated from the communities they once knew as they wander in wildernesses of despair. The uncertainty of this moment in our country and world can appear to be too much. Add on top of that physical ailments, mental health challenges, financial instability, food insecurity, death, and grief.

I want you to know that you don't walk alone. I am with you. God is with you--Emmanuel in the morning and Emmanuel in the midnight hour; And because we are called to be the hands and feet of God in this world, we must be with each other, for better and for worse, in sickness and in health. That, my friends, is the power of the beloved community. We grow together; we weep together; we dance together; we laugh together. We don't let one another walk this journey called life alone.

Let nothing or no one separate us from that which is found in community. I know--there are a lot of distractions in this world that keep us from being in community; but the walk with Christ is not meant to be an isolated walk. Make that commitment to being intentional about finding and sustaining community.

Join us on Sunday for worship--yes--but more importantly, join us for community.

10am, in-person (masks required) or through our livestream on
YouTube

Praying for you,
Rev. Mia
