Peso the old donkey continues to share his love and calm heart with all who get to meet him. We adore him and are so glad we could help out his loving family who were heartbroken to give him up when they were forced to move. Peso is 34. Teddy continues to be a love ambassador and now that cooler weather is here he will be going out on visits more. You can see lots of beautiful photos of the animal and elder visits at my main site.

Just today, we said goodbye to the oldest cat in the suite, Inky, who was over 20. All the elder cats in the suite come from the shelter, and Inky's owners died and he had to be placed there-a common occurrence. Catfish [the red tabby] was there to protect Inky knowing I would come and help care for his burial. Inky was so stoic and sweet, he liked to ride on my shoulders. He hung on for a long time, but we are so grateful he had a peaceful death surrounded by those he knew, windows of light and beautiful fall colors all around him.
