VW starts building EV in Chattanooga

Tennessee to add 1,900 electric-battery jobs with aid of federal grants
Three new Tennessee factories will mass-produce lithium hydroxide and other EV battery parts - bringing 1,900 jobs to the state. A portion of the Department of Energy’s $2.8 billion grant to expand the American-made EV supply chain will go towards projects at Microvast, Novonix Anode Materials LLC and Piedmont Lithium. States are vying for funding to start hydrogen hubs
DOE is looking to fund up to 10 regional clean hydrogen hubs, defined as “a network of clean hydrogen producers, potential clean hydrogen consumers and connective infrastructure located in close proximity” to be sited across the country.
