Hey Frank, Why don't you come out to the workday on Sunday........

PHNRC Halloween Volunteer Workday!

10/30/2022

When:     Sunday, October 30th, 2022.  9:00am -12:00 pm
Where:    Haunted Heron Pond (See map)
What:      Invasive control, Maintenance

Please come out and join us as we return to a haunted Heron Pond to finish what we started the last workday and to have a little Halloween fun. Guaranteed, no tricks and lots of treats, ghosts...maybe!

This Sunday is an Orb Weavers delight! We will be looking to cut out the rest of the trail invasives and send them on their way. We will also be clearing the peninsula, and get it ready for the prescribed burn. Costumes are optional, fun is not and Kielbasas are a must. A vegetarian Kielbasa version will be making its debut. Stories will be told at the end and the best ghost story about Heron Pond wins a prize! Be sure to have yours ready!

The weather is predicted as a balmy 60° with an overcast sky, but very little chance of rain. Please do not wear something you want to keep as new. We will be providing water, Kielbasa and snacks.

Parking is on the Karl Court circle and Owen Street, facing in the direction of traffic.. Lost? Call 847.910.5257. We will supply all tools, gloves, instructions and supervision.
