The West Vancouver Chamber of Commerce is seeking candidates interested in serving on our Board of Directors. Members are invited to put their name forward by Tuesday, November 1st.
 
Eligibility:
  • Owner of a locally operated business and Chamber Member (in good standing for minimum of one-year) or the full-time employee of a Chamber Member business (in good standing for one-year or longer). Employees require approval from the owner/management to represent the business.
  • The Board is intended to represent the range of business segments operating in West Vancouver and the various business neighborhoods.
  • Expertise in finance, governance, planning, or professional development with established businesses, and previous Board experience are considered assets.
Commitment:
  • We meet 8-9 times a year. Meetings may be virtual or in-person at the discretion of the Board. Meetings are presently Wednesday afternoons between 3pm-5pm.
  • Board members are active supporters of the Chamber; serving as ambassadors in the community, recruiting members, and involved in various events and programs.
  • Terms are for a two-year period, with a maximum of six uninterrupted years served.

What’s next:
  • Nominations will be reviewed by the Board Nominating Committee and then recommendations will be made to the full Board for approval. The 2023 Board of Directors will be elected/confirmed by Chamber Members at the Annual General Meeting on November 16th.
