Holiday Activities Featured at Former Governors' Mansion State Historic Site


BISMARCK, N.D. – The Former Governors’ Mansion State Historic Site in Bismarck will host its free annual Holiday Open House Nov. 27 and Dec. 4, 1-4 p.m. each day. Craft holiday ornaments, enjoy refreshments, and take a self-guided tour of the mansion, which will be decorated for the holiday season. Visit with Santa from 1-3 p.m.

On Dec. 10, 2-4 p.m., visitors are invited to help decorate the Christmas tree with hand-crafted ornaments. Craft items will be available to make a variety of ornaments and tree trimmings. All ages are welcome. On Dec. 23, 4 and 4:30 p.m., enjoy a favorite Christmas story reading. Events are free and cookies and hot cider will be served. 

The Former Governors’ Mansion, located at the corner of Fourth Street and Avenue B in Bismarck, is managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota. Admission is free.
