Visit the Pumpkin People Display
The UUMH Pumpkin People display may be viewed at Kate Gould Park, Chatham. With a pumpkin minister and a multicultural and diverse pumpkin congregation, the message is “Come As You Are!”  UUMH brochures are also available on the display. The display will be available through October 31st.
Saying goodbye to Jane ...
As you know, a memorial service for Dick and Jane Eccles will be held at the UUMH on Saturday, November 12th at 2:00 PM.  We thought it would be fitting to display a few of Jane's paintings in the Fleck Room during the collation after the service.
If you have a painting or two that you wish to show, please notify Beth Avery. You could store the pieces in the UUMH Library this coming Sunday, and pick them up the next Sunday, Nov. 13th. Just please be sure to put your name on the backs!
Thanks for helping us to fill the Fleck Room again with Jane's love and talent.

Bring a Friend Sunday, November 13
Sunday, November 13 is "Bring a Friend Sunday" at UUMH. It is our opportunity to introduce a friend or neighbor to our welcoming UUMH community.
It's often said that many people are UUs but don't know it. The best way for our neighbors to find out about us is through us, the members of UUMH. With our hybrid format, you and your friend are welcome to attend in person or online. The morning service will focus on who we are and what we are all about. Refreshments will be available too.
When we ask our members how they learned about UUMH, they often answer "my friend told me about it."  Save the date and on November 13, bring a friend!

Third Monday Book Club
Third Monday Book Club will meet at 10:00 AM on November 21 to discuss West with Giraffes by Lynda Rutledge. Contact Mary Parsons with questions. marypmac@comcast.net / 432-7194
All are welcome for one book or many!

A Silent Transformation
Saturday, November 5th  |  9:30 AM
NR | 1h 10min | Documentary
The cooperative movement was built by people who took on the responsibility for their collective well-being in the face of government neglect, economic exclusion, and cultural discrimination. As the modern economy increasingly denies vast sectors of the population basic amenities for a decent life, this co-operative spirit is as critical as ever. However, over the years the co-op sector has become insular and poorly understood.
A Silent Transformation sets out to explore the innovative self-help efforts of different communities across the Province of Ontario, Canada. By addressing their needs collectively they are helping to regain the radical vision of cooperation. In these communities are the seeds of economic democracy, global solidarity, and a new popular movement to transform society! Will it grow and flourish?
