MCBC "Covid Business Survival Awards"

Mark your calendar for Saturday evening, Dec. 3, from 6-9 p.m. Instead of a normal celebration of what would be the Monterey County Business Council’s 25th anniversary, we’re going to call this event our “Covid Business Survival Awards.” We’ll have fun while we honor some of the businesses and people who have successfully weathered the storm of the last few years. $195 per person (we should mention it’s at Pebble Beach’s posh Inn at Spanish Bay). Click here to register. For sponsorship opportunities, please email our CEO at Kimbley@MCBC.biz.

Monterey County Hospitality Association launches updated website and unveils new logo

Launched this fall, the Monterey County Hospitality Association's (MCBC member) new website creates an easy-to-navigate platform for up-to-date, relevant information important to the local industry. As the only trade organization that serves all facets of Monterey County’s hospitality industry, local hotels, inns, restaurants, visitor attractions and hospitality-related businesses have worked together since 1975 to ensure the prosperity of the industry, second only to agriculture in the county. As the organization continues to grow and evolve new programs, the website will have the capacity to enhance the member tools and information on advocacy, training and development and employee engagement.

The site navigation has been reworked to enhance highly trafficked areas of the previous website, such as the "Training & Development" section, which now links to specific programs beneficial to membership, including MCHA-hosted seminars and workshops, compliance links and certification opportunities for employee advancement. A new “Career Pathways” page was developed, to serve as a resource for those interested in joining the hospitality industry.
