Supporting Student Wellbeing workshop – still a few places available 

Tuesday 8 November – 10am to 11:30am 
Chancelry Building 10T1 – Seminar Room 1.08 

Student success depends on physical, social, spiritual and mental wellbeing. Presented by the Student Safety and Wellbeing team, this engaging and scenario-based workshop will explore factors contributing to mental ill-health for university students, resources available for teaching staff, ways to identify students in distress and practical ways to offer support. This workshop is relevant to any academic or professional staff wishing to enhance student wellbeing holistically.

Are you new to teaching?

The Exploring Learning and Teaching (ELT) Program is designed specifically for anyone who is new to teaching in higher education or wanting to consolidate their teaching practice. ELT offers a practice-based learning experience with peers and covers digital technologies, lesson planning, and advice on how to deliver engaging lessons.

Join Dr Chris Browne and A/Prof Catherine Frieman as they share their experience of experimenting with ‘Learning Portfolios’ and ‘UnEssays’ across a range of disciplines. Participants will gain an insight into running alternative types of assessment in small and large classes, and see examples of student work.

ANU Audio/Visual Monthly Meet Up

Monday 14 November – 3:30pm to 5pm

Open to all ANU staff involved in creating AV and multimedia content. This is the fourth edition of the monthly meet up and will be hosted by the College of Science in the Peter Baume Building. Participants will get a tour of the AV and studio facilities, including the CPAS Podcasting Studio.
