Dear CustOMER,

Spookily dressed kids are giggling outside in the street here at REMO HQ in North Bondi. So we were inspired to shoot off a quick email to wish you all well for Halloween, and to remind you about our Skull & Cross Bones design. Mug just added, and see below.

Our new “Typing Indicator” design has been a big hit. We also just received an email from a CustOMER seeking to order it on a Baby Romper ... along with Rooster. We were able to oblige and she has just placed her order.

Says Alison: "Once [they] are on the website, I will submit an order for all four. There’s so many good designs for babes though: always on, panic button, wake me for meals…. I think the idea is great, well done. A perfect gift idea for us great-aunts."

This is a service we offer. If you find a design that is not available on the product of your choosing, then just let us know and we will add it to the range straight away.

Cheers,

Featured Design Classic: Skull & Cross Bones | 2005

A skull and cross bones is a symbol consisting of a human skull and two bones crossed together under the skull. The design originated in the Late Middle Ages as a symbol of death and especially as a memento mori (Latin for “remember that you will die”) on tombstones. (Ed: Thanks for the reminder.) It is generally used as a warning for something that is dangerous or deadly … usually poison. The symbol, or some variation thereof, was also featured on the Jolly Roger, the traditional flag of European and American pirates. Read the full REMO Story HERE.

REMO Story: Mobius Strip

What is Jantelagen and what does it have to do with oat milk?

The Swedish word “Jantelagen” (or the Danish: “Janteloven”) translating as the “Law of Jante” references a behavioural norm for Swedes (and in fact, other Scandinavians) to put society ahead of the individual, and not boast about personal accomplishment … stressing the importance of equality. The Law of Jante promotes the attitude that everyone is equal, frowning upon any arrogance or beliefs of higher status, above ordinary existence. Read all about it HERE.
