UpClose: The Lost String Quartet
Free concert Saturday, November 5 at Eno Arts Mill. It is a combined quartet performance and reading of N.M. Bodecker’s children's book The Lost String Quartet, and it features The COT’s quartet in residence, The Verona Quartet.
For children of all ages, watch as the Verona Quartet takes one wrong turn and gets lost in the mountains. Will they make it to their concert?! This concert is part of The COT's UpClose Chamber Music Series and will take place at the Orange County Arts Commission.

Socktober!
Eighth graders are excited to host our annual Socktober contest this year!
Homerooms will be competing in a door decorating contest and a crazy sock contest. Students are encouraged to wear fun socks from Monday, October 24th - Monday, October 31st and their participation will count towards their homeroom winning fun prizes.
This contest is also meant to raise awareness about needed items for our local homeless shelters. Donation bins will be placed around the school and we’ll be collecting high needs items listed on the Inter-faith Council for Social Services of Orange County website such as bath towels, twin sheet sets, and pillows . We’re excited to see the crazy socks students wear and to help out our community!

You will input an active email address . Your Password is your child's last name as it is spelled and formatted in PowerSchool. You can access multiple last name passwords by clicking on "add another password" before you login.

2022 Read-A-Thon!
What is Read-a-Thon? Read-a-Thon is a week-long event that promotes reading and literacy while raising needed funds to support TES classrooms and our community. Funds raised benefit our teachers and students by providing academic enrichment, classroom materials, and teacher mini-grants for classroom projects. It begins on Friday October 28th.

Classroom HEPA Filters Replaced
TESCA has sponsored the replacements for the HEPA filters found throughout student classrooms in the school. Special thanks to our school nurse, Leacey, for all of her helping to select the best replacements and ensuring all the units were updated appropriately.

One-Time Volunteers: Cocoa and Cider
Cocoa and Cider is coming up, a chance to connect socially before the winter break! We need a handful of volunteers to help with set-up, serving cocoa and cider, and breaking down when it is finished. Please consider pitching in and sign up at the link here: Cocoa and Cider Volunteers
One-Time Volunteers: Thanksgiving Pies
TESCA plans to continue our tradition of distributing pies to all staff prior to Thanksgiving. A few volunteers will need to be on hand to help unload, organize, and label the pies in the Maker space. We will need approximately 3 other volunteers on the delivery date. This will take approximately 1-1.5 hours. Contact Jen at tescaadmin@tes-ca.com for more information or to volunteer.

After working with the TES website vendor, it was found multiple incorrect logins caused the lockout. There is a new user name and password in the image below. The login is case sensitive.
Remember to update or add your information to the TES Family Directory! For those new to the school directory, the directory is populated when families opt in. To opt in or view the page, please see the following logon information:

TESCA Facebook Group
Welcome and please join our Facebook group! This group is for parents / guardians, teachers, and staff of The Expedition School in Hillsborough, North Carolina. Our goal is to build a mutually supportive community. Families are invited to join after they have accepted a position at the school. You must answer all the questions (2) and agree to the Admin rules before joining.
