What’s the company?

United Kingdom-based GKN Aerospace. They are locating a new technology center in Fort Worth.

What does GKN Aerospace do?

The company supplies and manufactures technology for aerospace companies such as Lockheed Martin and Gulfstream.

How many jobs will GKN bring to Fort Worth?

In five years, about 100 employees. The company plans to spend $40.5 million in five years in order to receive tax credits offered by the city.

  • Submissions for the 2022 Mayor’s Neighborhood Awards are now open. There are nine categories available. The deadline for applications is 5 p.m. Dec. 1

  • Connect with other professionals in the area by attending Common Desk’s “Business to Business” networking meetup from 8:30-10 a.m. Nov. 22 at 2833 Crockett St., Fort Worth.

  • Join the Fort Worth Chamber for the final Legislative Power Hour of the year presented by Fidelity Investments from 3-5 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Fort Worth Club, 777 Taylor St., Fort Worth.

  • SAVE THE DATE: Join the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for its annual State of the Chamber from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Ashton Depot, 1501 Jones St. Fort Worth. Chamber leaders will reflect on the past year and share the strategic plan for the upcoming 2023 year.
