May you, <<First Name>>, pause for a moment today and consider this: YOU are the object of God’s affection. YOU are the reason Jesus came to earth as a vulnerable baby. YOU were the joy set before Him when He endured the Cross and scorned its shame. Jesus made a public spectacle of the enemy that stands against you; He crushed the lies the enemy spews about you because YOU are someone Jesus loves and wants forever in eternity with Him. Jesus IS the reason for the Season. May we joyfully celebrate the One who came as a baby and will return as the King. Have a most blessed, festive day today and blessings on your week!

It’s hard to believe in something you can’t see, much less draw hope from it. God knows that, and in His great wisdom and mercy, He sent us Jesus. One of the main reasons God sent Jesus to earth was to give us hope. Jesus was sent to show us exactly who God is and that we can put our hope in Him – hope in His provision for today and in His promises for tomorrow.

Hope is meant to be experienced and not just defined. Hope is trust in action. Hope is the thing that can make you smile when nothing else can. In the midst of even the darkest time or circumstance, hope gives you a reason to carry on. God leaving the splendor of heaven to come and be with us – and ultimately giving Himself to save us. That’s great hope. That’s hope we can trust in!

We know that a helpful way to establish the practice of spending daily time with God in His Word is to have a great plan! This year, we wanted a plan that prioritized depth versus breadth. 

So in 2023, we're going to spend 20 minutes a day with God in His Word focusing on the life of Jesus in the Gospels – His life, His miracles and His words. So, this year the plan is to read all four Gospels. By reading about three chapters a day, we will read through all four Gospels in just 30 days. Then we'll repeat! 

Prepare to be changed as we daily spend time with God in His Word!
