Projects on Deck 👷♀️
What's been keeping us busy:
- A major battery energy storage systems company 🔋 currently uses spreadsheets to develop and refine the configuration of multi-million dollar battery installations. We’re helping replace these spreadsheets with a Django application. The second phase extended the basic configuration by generating detailed line items to be used to feed the pricing tool.
- We’re helping a tax-focused financial services company modernize and make improvements to their existing legacy C#/.NET application by building new services in Django. 💻 In addition to building new services on Django, we’re also moving the hosting and infrastructure to the cloud.
- Using the available Discord API and Webhooks together with Django Channels, we improved LoudSwarm, Six Feet Up’s virtual event platform, by seamlessly integrating Discord. Now, attendees can follow conversations happening in event Discord servers while watching the videos being streamed — all on the same platform. 🙌 We also added a feature where attendees automatically receive announcements re: session start times directly in the connected Discord channels.
Can we help you out? Read about some of our recent projects.

Cal's Cool Tools 🧰
Latest cool finds from our CTO Calvin Hendryx-Parker:
- CDK for Kubernetes: Could this open-source software development framework be the magic that makes our k8s experience?
- bspwm: Log in and have multiple workspaces, customized per project, set up by default. Nifty!
- Moom: Easily move and resize windows — on one display, or to another display — using either the mouse or the keyboard. If you’re looking for something free, Rectangle could be a good option.
