Hello!

My gratitude for the green chemistry community runs deep. I have the privilege of watching our community grow in tiny and enormous ways throughout the year, and I don’t take for granted the myriad steps and people required to make this all possible.

To the educators throughout the world who have prioritized a healthier planet in addition to the hundreds of tasks they must juggle every day, I see you, and I’m amazed by you. To our funders, without whom Beyond Benign could not carry on doing this important work, thank you for understanding the value of green chemistry education and putting your faith in us. To the student leaders, thank you for your passion, persistence and persuasion to bring green chemistry onto your campuses and convincing your professors to bring it into their courses. To the entire staff at Beyond Benign, you have dedicated your minds, hearts, and time to facilitating the growth of our community, and I’m so grateful to work alongside you.

And to anybody reading this who isn’t represented in the categories above, I’m so heartened to have you here with us. It takes supporters and advocates of all kinds to make change.

I hope you and yours enjoy this season and have plenty of your own items for which to be grateful. Below, we’re excited to share grant opportunities, a giveaway, valuable events, and a couple of curricula for teaching about Thanksgiving thoughtfully this year.

Sincerely,

Dr. Amy Cannon
Co-Founder & Executive Director
