Alana was joined by Kathy from WAAMH to share their experiences working in community engagement, followed by some interactive Q&A and sharing of experiences from the attendees.

Romy Pritchard shared insights on navigating difficult conversations and self care in community engagement, with the aim of reducing siloing and building relationships.

It was a great day of learning and networking.

Youth planning meeting for RBY Launch Party

With the completion of the Right By You Website, SPC held a launch party planning workshop with some of the young stakeholders on January 30th.

Right By You is a youth peer-to-peer suicide prevention website designed by and for young people to access helpful information that would give them the skills and confidence to respond to and help a friend in need. By promoting Australia’s leading best-practice evidence-based youth suicide prevention resources within one accessible platform, the website aims to build young people’s confidence in identifying warning signs, initiating important conversations, and referring friends to help.

The resource will be launched in April (Youth Week) 2023 and be shared through online youth platforms, social media, and QR code stickers distributed through participating schools and youth agencies across Australia.
