World Day of Remembrance

Dear Neighbor,

The World Day of Remembrance is an international annual event to remember the millions of people killed and injured in traffic crashes around the world. In the case of Beauregard and Sanger, a 16-year-old male was killed while riding a scooter.

Please join on Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 11:30am to 12:15pm at the William Ramsey Elementary School parking lot.

Attendance is open to the public.

“Motor vehicle crashes are preventable, yet they continue to be a leading cause of death in the United States. We call on our elected officials and state and local transportation officials to do everything in their power to stop the pain, suffering, and tragic outcomes that result from traffic violence.

We want to use this World Day of Remembrance to ask that public funds be used to end the soaring crisis on our roadways. With the recent passage of the federal Infrastructure bill, we have an historic opportunity to direct billions of dollars towards fixing deadly roads and improving walking and biking conditions – in all communities.”
