Head of Built Environment

We are looking for a dynamic Head of Built Environment to lead this programme through its next stage of development. If you are passionate about social change and human rights, have a deep understanding of built environment sectors such as finance, construction, architecture and engineering, a strong track record of programme strategy and delivery, this role is for you.

Head of Communications

IHRB is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to support the organisation at an exciting time of growth and programme development. IHRB’s Head of Communications will collaborate closely with the CEO, Deputy CEO, Heads of programmes, and Senior Advisors, playing a leading role coordinating across teams in support of the organisation’s mission to shape policy, advance practice, and strengthen accountability of the economic actors impacting human rights around the world – businesses of all sizes, financial institutions, as well as national and local governments. The successful candidate will have core competencies spanning external and internal communications strategy as well as technical execution skills (design software, CMS and social media management), with an entrepreneurial attitude, creativity, and supportive teamwork style.

Head of Gulf Programme

IHRB’s emerging regional programme, ‘Gulf Sustain’, aims to advance worker welfare in the GCC by centring workers’ rights as an enabler of the green transition. The programme aims to develop knowledge, drive inclusive dialogue, and advocate for stronger policies, accountability and collaboration between businesses, governments, financial actors, civil society, and local, regional and international organisations to promote alignment between policy agendas on worker welfare, economic diversification, and climate action. We are looking for a dynamic Head of Gulf programme to lead this initiative through its next stage of development.

Researcher: Climate Action and Social Justice in the Built Environment – Lisbon, Portugal

IHRB is seeking a part-time Researcher for its project: “Building for Today and for the Future” – a developing a collaborative agenda for a just transition of the built environment. You will work closely with IHRB’s Programme Manager, Built Environment (Global) who will have oversight for the research process, and IHRB Nordic’s Programme Manager, Built Environment (Europe) who will have oversight for the visioning session, as well as with other project partners.

Digital Communications Consultant

The Institute for Human Rights and Business (IHRB) seeks a consultant to develop compelling digital communications products for its “Dignity by Design” programme. We envisage that the deliverables will require 2-3 days of work a week for three months, starting in early January 2022.
