Chi Van Dang, Med ’82, former faculty member of the School of Medicine, has been named the Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of cancer medicine and will pursue cutting-edge and interdisciplinary cancer research. "Coming back to where I started my career as an assistant professor feels like being reborn and will certainly reinvigorate my research program," he says.

A new map of the universe displays for the first time the span of the entire known cosmos with pinpoint accuracy and sweeping beauty. Brice Ménard, a professor of physics and astronomy, assembled the map with the help of Nikita Shtarkman, Engr ’19, when Shtarkman was a Homewood undergrad studying computer science.
