Catie is a graduate student, currently studying for a Master's in Public Administration, and actively dedicates her time to numerous organizations in the Missoula community. She is the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee president and a member of the Fellowship Christian Athletes. Catie volunteers with Meals on Wheels, Boys & Girls Club, Missoula Food Bank, and more.
Mesa King, University of Montana Western, Women's Basketball
Mesa, a senior in Education, has been involved as a volunteer for the Youth Girls' Basketball as a coach and member of the Association of Student-Athletes. Mesa is also currently a student teacher.
Jessica Pipe, Fort Peck Community College, Volleyball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Track & Field
Jessica is a Tribal Governance and Administration freshman volunteer with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints serving young women in her community. She has also served at the Salvation Army, Special Olympics, Habitat for Humanity, and libraries. Jessica teaches young children Sunday school and music as well.
Payton Meyer, MSU Billings, Softball
Payton is a junior in Health/Human Performance who volunteers with Salvation Army and Lewis & Clark Discovery Zones. She also helps out with MSU Billings Service Saturdays. Payton is a positive and inspiring role model for young athletes in the Billings community.
Courtney Mitchell, Salish Kootenai College, Women’s Basketball
Courtney, a junior in Wildlife and Fisheries, volunteers with Food Box Friday and the Food Pantry. She is passionate about working to end food insecurity in her community and wants to give back. Courtney is also the student senate president, advocating for each individual student’s success.
Jacob Steinle, Flathead Valley Community College, Logger Sports
Jacob, a sophomore in Forestry, volunteers with the Flathead Valley Food Bank, Orphans Life Line, The Heart Locker, and others. He spends time working to feed the hungry and caring for others. Jacob is the Captain of the FVCC Logger Sports team and Vice President of FVCC's Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society chapter; he schedules regular service projects and encourages member participation.
Meg Delaney, Montana Technological University, Women's Basketball
Meg is a senior in Exercise & Health Science at Montana Technological University. She volunteers with the Clothing Drive, Dress a Child, and Walk to School Day. Meg is also a Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) member and was a representative at the SAAC Frontier Conference.
Derek Bell, Aaniiih Nakoda College, Archery
Derek, a Sophomore in Industrial Trades, is captain of the Archery Club at ANC, where he teaches new members how to shoot the traditional bow. He helps an elderly local farmer with irrigation, hay baling, and caring for plants at ANC USDA Extension Garden. Derek also has volunteered time at the PAWS animal shelter.
Nakola Bad Bear, Montana State University, Women’s Basketball
Nakola is a senior studying Community Health/Human Development. She is the president and founder of the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Peoples Student Association which works to bring awareness to the loss and pain experienced by her community. Nakola organized the 2022 and 2023 No Stolen Sisters Basketball Games, using her voice to make a difference in her community.
Dylan Cunningham, Helena College, Hockey
Dylan is a freshman in Science who volunteers with “Learn to Skate” Sunday mornings during the hockey season. He helps coach youth flag football and hockey teams, working to provide education to the next generation of players in his community.
Blayne Hubing, Miles Community College, Rodeo
Blayne is a junior in Agricultural Production and volunteers with the Circle Rodeo and MT High School Rodeo Association. He has also helped judge county fair 4H Round Robin events and reads to elementary students to educate them on his agricultural studies. Blayne is involved with Student Senate and is a Resident Assistant at MCC.
Dulci SkunkCap, MSU-Northern, Women’s Basketball
Dulci, a junior in Integrated Health Science, is highly dedicated to the MSU-Northern community. She has volunteered with Campus Cleanup Day, Indigenous Women's Walk, Suicide Awareness Walk and Presentation, and many more community service events. Dulci is also a Student Ambassador and Peer Mentor at MSU-Northern and the Sweetgrass Society vice president.
Connor Chase, Dawson Community College, Cross-Country and Track
Connor, a sophomore in Environmental science focused on wildlife management, volunteers to mentor middle school students and State Park trail upkeep. He is also involved with retreat planning for his Youth Group and helping with youth basketball practices in his hometown of Billings.
Maddie Geritz, Carroll College, Women's Basketball
Maddie, a senior in Elementary Education and Special Education, has volunteered with the Thanksgiving Food Drive and Angel Tree and speaks about the Champions of Character Core values at elementary & middle schools. Maddie is the SAAC President and representative at the Frontier ASA Conference.
Virgil McCormick, Little Big Horn College, Basketball, Cross Country, Indian Relay
Virgil is a sophomore in Business who helps with local basketball youth camps and powwows. He spends time as a relay rider, training and galloping race horses to prepare them for Indian relay races at Rodeos. Virgil is also a member of the Native American Club and works to maintain cultural awareness of Indigenous presence on college campuses.
