Do West Fest 2023
 
                 

Dates have been set for the 10th Do West Fest.  Mark your calendars for June 9, 10 & 11, 2023 and stay tuned for more info in the new year. 
 
CafeTO: End of Season




Final call to fill out the CafeTO survey.  If you have not done so already please take a moment to fill it out here. This is for operators as well as 
 
Winter Gift Market 
 

One of our members has very generously offered us a space to host an outdoor Winter Gift Market on Saturday December 10th. We're looking into the possibility of making this happen and donating proceeds to the Food Bank.

There are a few ways you as a BIA member can be involved: 
  • Apply to be a vendor;
  • Donate an item that we will sell for you at the market- all proceeds go to the food bank;
  • OR If you don't feel you have the capacity/ time this time around, there will be room for you to have some kind of presence displayed at the market- this could be a poster for an upcoming event, possibly some holiday coupons or some other piece of marketing material.

Beauty United PCP+ Program
 
  

There is a free PCP+ training program, hosted by Beauty United, that has been customized to the beauty industry.  Beauty United has partnered with the Ontario government specifically the Ministry of Labour to give free training on Health and Workplace safety that by the way is mandated for all businesses in Ontario. As well as free training all employers will be paid $50 per employee training time plus other training free like the JHSC committee training that normally costs $800 per employee and is a paid out of pocket expense for the employer.
