our Jumpstart Fellowship Cohort 3 is closing applications This Sunday!

Do you know a sophomore or junior girl in high school that may be interested in technology, or that you want to get excited about a career in a STEM field?  Please encourage them to apply for our Jumpstart program. Our Annual Jumpstart Fellowship Program provides training and access for High School Girls to enter engineering and other technical fields. Our goal is to prepare the fellows for the next stage of their career whether that be college, work, tech-related or not.  In addition to skills training and hands on experiences the participants receive:

  • $1,000 stipend after the completion of the program 
  • Paid Summer internship opportunities at Robotics companies

The ARM Institute, in collaboration with the Institute’s Data for Artificial Intelligence Working Group (DAWG), is completing a major, national manufacturing assessment to identify and prioritize the development of guidance, tools and strategies to help improve how manufactures implement and sustain Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning (ML) solutions for advanced manufacturing robotic systems. You can take their survey here
The US National Robotics Roadmap is undergoing an update, identifying gaps that are not being addressed. They want to engage a broad swath of researchers from academia and industry to ensure that the update is representative of the community’s view of what is needed in robotics research so that national priorities are met. Submit using this form, due January 9, 2023.  Papers will be synthesized for the community update.  Send questions to Henrik I. Christensen or Holly Yanco.
