When a number is not just a number (and raises funds to benefit VQHA)

Ahhh, the good old days of the state fair riding my favorite youth horse- the great “Idealistic Dell”. Lots of spectators, lots of rides to spook horses, fireworks, but then there was Dell. Nothing fazed him. We would ride bareback out onto the midway to get funnel cakes, riding double with a blanket and halter and lead rope.

Take advantage of this program to earn awards for the hours you have ridden or ground-exercised either your American Quarter Horse or other breed horse. This is a unique opportunity to earn awards outside of traditional competitions and is available to VQHA, VAQHA and VQHYA members. Obituary: Betsy Tuckey
Former VQHA President and long-time member Betsy Tuckey passed away on September 30 after a difficult 11-month battle with stage 4 bladder cancer. Her memory and legacy in this industry will last for generations. Betsy had five judging cards including AQHA, NSBA, APHA, NRHA and NRCHA with her longest standing card being held for 30 years.
