Mark your calendars! Tuesday, November 29th is Giving Tuesday – the single largest fundraising day for non-profits in the country. We hope we can count on your support of Parkinson’s Body and Mind (PBM). We are excited to announce that we have a challenge from an anonymous donor who will match up to $50,000 of donations received. Please join us and support PBM on Giving Tuesday so we can provide exercise and wellness programs, Shakers Anonymous support groups, expert speakers and our mentorship program to our growing PD community. Your generous support can inspire and transform the lives of people living with Parkinson’s Disease and their care partners. Your generosity allows PBM to provide our services free of charge to those who need them in an effort to improve their quality of life. This is an incredible opportunity for us, and you, to double the impact of every gift received. Together we can make a difference!

Special Considerations for Meditation and Parkinson’s Disease

I was just two years out from my Parkinson’s diagnosis when I read in 2016 that researchers had identified a Parkinson’s patient whose symptoms, 12 years post-diagnosis, had “almost completely remitted, and he has been off all pharmacotherapy for that time.” Read more...
All In" Summit Follow Up with CNPD and MJFF November 16th 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM via Zoom
We need volunteers to help with PBM social media, nonprofit accounting and recruiting people with PD to our PBM program at the Bridgeport YMCA. if interested, please contact elainegrant@parkinsonsbodyandmind.org
Across all PD research, 85 percent of trials face delays and 30 percent never get started because of the chronic shortage of volunteers. This means people with Parkinson’s wait longer for better solutions to manage the disease. https://www.michaeljfox.org/your-role-research
