Principal's Message

Hello Sea Lion Families,

Thank you all for attending our Veterans Day Assembly dedicated to those who served and continue to serve our country. It was a beautiful morning and we had over 50 veterans and current service men and women in attendance. What an honor! A big thank you to our 5th grade Sea Lions who spoke about and carried the flags of the five branches of the Military: U.S. Army: Issac Cowan and Aden Jbeili; U.S. Marine Corps: Greyson Pawlacyk and Sara Gonzalez; U.S. Navy: Evan Browns and Chloe Wertenbroek; U.S. Air Force: Cole Harris and Melanie Chickering; and U.S. Coast Guard: Lennex Sanders and Sloane Bigler. Along with these wonderful students, poems were written and recited by Sea Lions in 4th grade: Koko Tojo, Sarah Missbrenner, London Houghton, and Jason Maxim. Students, Taylor Dawson and Layla Gregory from Ms. Weber’s 3rd grade class presented a “We love our Veterans” poster. Mrs. Aniceto and students Josie Gardner, Marlowe Kotecki, Peyton Jeter, Sienna Montana, Mila Diotalevi, Paige Newberg, Natalie Lemen, and Queen Hosmillo, did an incredible job singing the Star-Spangled Banner while students and staff stood with pride as they paid tribute to family members who have served or are serving our country.

On Veterans Day, we honor the brave men and women who have served in our Armed Forces and defended our Nation. As Americans, we owe a tremendous amount of gratitude to our veterans who, during peace and war, have demonstrated a steadfast commitment to safeguarding the principles upon which our nation was founded. We say thank you, we respect you, and we love you for the service you have given and the sacrifices you and your families have made.
