Fountain Hills Community Garden
December 2022 Newsletter

                                            HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONE

FYI -

The end of 2022 is coming to an end quickly and garden bed renewal notices will not be sent out until 2023. This delay is because we are still waiting on a Contract with Dark Skies regarding the relocation of the Garden in 2023

On another topic it seems that there are still 9 shade cloths that are not turned in. These cloths are property of the Garden. They are assigned by bed #, and placed by your bed, for our next hot season!! Thank you for getting those shade cloths returned to our inventory asap. This will eliminate a charge for a new shade cloth!!!

GARDEN TIPS FOR THE MONTH:

Our temps can really drop this time of year, so please stay tuned to our local weather and have your frost cloths ready to go on your garden beds. Check out our Garden Bulletin Board for the latest information or what to plant this time of year. It is very important to keep your soil level approximately 1" below your bed frame top. There needs to be at least 12" of soil for your deep rooting plants and helps to ensure a more successful gardening season. HAPPY GARDENING!!

PLEASE ask Joy or Rita for help, if you need us, we are usually available.
