Kingdom Partnerships…
God has been so kind to allow me to be a part of two key pastor networks in Charlotte throughout this past year. We meet regularly for encouragement and prayer as we lean into our common bond in Christ and our desire to see Jesus glorified in our city.
One of these partnerships has led to preaching at Grace Church in Charlotte on Nov 20 during the morning worship service. The pastor of Grace Church, Theo Schaffer, will then be joining us on Dec 18 to preach at UHBC. While I’m away this week, Kolby Thomas will be bringing a great message from Colossians 3 as we continue the Story series at UHBC.
The men in these groups have become friends and we see our partnerships as ways to leverage our gifts to serve one another. I pray that the unity we experience will be a testimony to the people of Charlotte that Jesus is the true King and only Savior.
I’m excited to see what the Lord is going to do!

Help a child from Newell or Grier Elementary receive the joy of Christmas this year. Pick up a box in the Gathering Place following worship. A list of gift ideas will be provided. Fill and wrap the box putting the angel on the outside for identification. Return the box to UHBC under the Christmas tree in the Gathering Place by December 4.

Our Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions begins November 27, 2022. Our goal this year is $30,000. Prayerfully consider how you will support our goal this year.

The Security Team is looking for help with the following:
- Medical Professionals/First Responders to be called on in case of an emergency
- Security Team members to serve Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings

Continue to remember these children and families who participated in our recent Parent/Child dedication service: Elias Bridgeman, Aaron Kumar, Lee Meyers, and Baylee Nash. Remember these special families with a note of encouragement and/or prayer. You can bring your card on Sunday and put it in the Gathering Place on the Kids table. Other ways you can support these families are:
- Pray for them
- Provide a meal (for the parents)
- Offer to babysit
- Gift cards (restaurants, Target, Amazon, etc)
- Donate a children’s book
- Serve in the nursery on Sunday mornings

We need volunteers for our "Christmas Campout" on Saturday, December 3rd from 10am-12pm. We need greeters, helpers with registration and snacks, activity leaders, and floaters. We also need 50 shoe-sized boxes. Please come to the Kids Table in the Gathering Place on Sunday morning to sign up and to get more information and to drop off your box. Thank you for serving families this Christmas season.

Church Family Memories
- The altar flowers from last Sunday, November 13, 2022 were in celebration of Veteran's Day and in honor of the members of our church family who have faithfully served in various branches of the military.
- We are remembering and praying for our Homebound church members during this Holiday Season.
