Career Development / Hiring Events & Opportunities:

• PVCC is hosting a Criminal Justice Careers "Eat & Meet" on Thursday, November 17, 12:00pm in the North Mall Meeting Room. Learn about careers in this field plus jobs / internships from Albemarle County and UVA Police Departments and U.S. Secret Service representatives. Free pizza provided!! This is open to all in the community.
• PVCC is hosting a virtual Program Spotlight on the Culinary Arts program with program director, Chef Caitlin McCabe, on Tuesday, November 15, 6:30pm. Registration required.
• PVCC has a number of International Education Programs. They are hosting an information session about both the France and Costa Rica programs on Wednesday, November 16, 12pm in Room M247 OR attend virtually.  
• PVCC's One Book and Generation 180 are co-hosting a "Your Energy Matters: How You Can be Part of the Climate Solution" on Wednesday, November 16, 12pm in the North Mall Meeting Room. On Friday, 11/18, check out the photography exhibit on Our Changing Climate by local environmental photographer Michael Snyder, 5-7pm, Dickinson Building Gallery. Winners from PVCC's photo contest will also be announced!
• RoseWood Village is hosting a Hiring Event on Tuesday, November 15, 9am-6pm at their Hollymead location (2029 Lockwood Dr.). RSVP requested. They have a number of openings including FT/PT RMAs/Med Techs, CNAs/DCAs/PCAs (sign-on bonus up to $2500 for both!), PT LPN Shift Supervisor and FT Lead Dining Assistant.  
• Lovesac Furniture is coming to Charlottesville and is hosting 2 virtual hiring events this week on 11/16 & 11/17 at 6pm and 2 in-person events next week on Monday, 11/21 and Tuesday, 11/22.
• Sentara is hosting an online Hiring Event for Patient Access Associates on Thursday, November 17, 2-4pm. RSVP and apply before attending. 
• CareerEco is hosting a virtual "Discover Nursing Fair" on Thursday, November 17, 10am-6pm. We didn't see any schools from Virginia so this would only be good if interested in attending an out-of-state nursing school.

• Management Services Corporation (MSC) is seeking an Accounting Associate for their corporate office in Charlottesville. An associate's Degree OR 1-3 years of accounting experience is preferred.
• PVCC seeks a full-time Payroll / HRIS Specialist paying $45-55,000. Must have experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree for this position.
• Stifel Financial seeks a full-time Client Service Associate
• Hantzmon Wiebel Accounting Firm seeks a full-time Administrative Assistant (in addition to other accounting-based openings). They are great about bringing on accounting interns from PVCC as well!
• Apex Clean Energy has a full-time Graphic Design Associate opening (remote work is possible)
• Robbins Staffing is seeking candidates for an Office Manager position in Charlottesville.

• The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) seeks a part-time Engineering Technician at their Research Lab at UVA's Transportation Research Council, which pays $21.32 - $25 / hour. Apply by 11/20/22.
• PVCC is hiring a full-time Help Desk Technician paying $40-45,000 and great state benefits! This would be a great job for PVCC alumni (or someone far along in your program of study who can work full-time hours).
• Charlottesville City seeks a Systems Administrator paying $40,394.46 - $69,992 (and great benefits!). Don't let their preference for a bachelor's degree keep you from applying. A number of PVCC graduates have worked there.
• Apex Clean Energy has a full-time IT Support Associate opening!
• Attention PVCC Info Tech / Computer Science alumni or those with some years of experience. Albemarle County has some openings which may be of interest to you! Senior Systems Analyst for Community Development ($64,551 - $84,885) and Senior Applications Developer ($75,000 - 90,000).
