  • The rainfall this month was enough to signal the endangered salmon to return to their spawning grounds in Lagunitas Creek. Marin Municipal Water District ecologist Eric Ettlinger said monitoring groups are expecting a sizable run of adult spawners this winter based on the number of young salmon they found in the creek three years earlier.   • In October 2022, the Community Land Trust of West Marin (CLAM) purchased 35 Third Street in Point Reyes Station to be preserved as affordable, community housing.

Monday

  • Pfizer Covid-19 boosters are available on a walk-in basis from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Mondays at the West Marin Medical Center, in Point Reyes Station. For information, call (415) 663.1082.
  • The Rollin’ Root produce truck sells farmers’ market produce on Mondays at the following locations in West Marin: Main Street and Dillon Beach Road in Tomales from 9 to 10 a.m., the Marshall Store from 11 a.m. to noon and Walnut Place in Point Reyes Station from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m.
  • Nightly open gyms from 6 to 8 p.m. at West Marin School feature basketball on Mondays, indoor soccer on Tuesdays and Thursdays, volleyball on Wednesdays and soccer coaching on Fridays. All ages welcome. Sponsored by West Marin Community Services.
Tuesday
  • The North Marin Water District board meets virtually at 6 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. Information at www.nmwd.com/meetings.
  • The Dance Palace Community Center board meets virtually at 6 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month. Email info@dancepalace.org for a link. 
  • The Marin Municipal Water District board meets virtually at 7:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. Details at www.marinwater.org.
Wednesday
  • The Inverness Public Utility District board meets at 9 a.m. at the fire station.

Thursday
  • The Shoreline Unified School District board meets virtually at 5 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month, this month at West Marin School and online. Information at www.shorelineunified.org
    The Bolinas Community Land Trust holds a Home Match information session at 5 p.m. at the Bolinas Community Center. 

Friday

  • Talley Up! plays New Orleans funk at 9 p.m. indoors at Smiley’s Schooner Saloon, in Bolinas. $10 tickets at www.smileyssaloon.com.
