The Brainerd Public Library was established in 1899 and was a founding member of the Kitchigami Regional Library system in 1969. The Library's mission is to bring people, information, and ideas together to enrich lives and build community.

for the holidays. We will be closed on Monday, January 2 to observe New Year's Day.

Join us for stories, songs, and crafts -- all based on a theme!

Recommended for children ages 2-8, but all are welcome.

Come to the library during open hours and enjoy a self-led story time experience. There will be books, activities, and stations to explore based around a theme. December's theme is Snow!

Join us on Wednesdays, at 1:00 PM, for ECFE at the Library.
We will read a story, sing a song, and explore stations together.

Join us on the 1st Tuesday of the Month, at 3:00 PM, for #Create.
We will be creating make 'n take crafts, perfect for teens!

Join us on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the Month, from 5:30-6:30pm.
Georgia loves to listen to people read to her. You can sign up for a 15-minute time slot by calling the library at 218-829-5574.

Please join the Friends of the Brainerd Public Library in the Large Meeting Room for a talk with author Gretchen Anthony about her latest book, The Book Haters' Book Club: a Novel. Books, Burgers & Brews†
Books, Burgers & Brews will NOT meet in December during the holidays, but plan to join us on Monday, January 23, 2023, at 6 pm at Roundhouse Brewery to discuss our next book The Night She Disappeared by Lisa Jewell!
