Pancake Palooza is a traditional event held by Mt. Carmel for Cal Poly and Cuesta College students during finals week. The purpose of the event is to offer a late-night study break with free pancakes.

We prepare pancakes to order - regular, blueberry, chocolate chip. A wide variety of toppings are available to satisfy their late-night cravings.

Contact Patti Frey for more information.
UPDATE - NOVEMBER 13, 2022
Thanks to contributions from many congregation members, the “Raise The Roof” fund is now at $35,000, only $5,000 from the goal of $40,000. As we write this VISTA, we can hear roofers from Quaglino Roofing doing some of the needed roof repairs so your help with remaining amount will be going to work right away. It will be a great way to celebrate Thanksgiving!

At the June 2022 Annual Meeting, our congregation approved a commitment to raise $40,000 in addition to the proposed budget to complete necessary repairs and improvements to our roofing, landscape, and drainage issues. “Cover The Roof” has been adopted as the fundraiser slogan and is ready to begin.

To contribute by check, make a note of “Facility Repairs” on the memo line. If you make your contributions by credit card or by E-checks let the Financial Secretary, Carol Grosse,
cgrosse@charter.net know that your donation is for the fund raising project.

The photos below show the work that's been done so far.
  1. Two of the new drains added to help prevent flooding;
  2. One of the large holes that was found that were found when the roof was removed;
  3. Removing the old roof over the offices, Sunday school, and brick areas;
  4. Beginning to replace the roof.
