1. The EFCL is preparing to present to Edmonton City Council on November 30. We'll make our case for two service packages that, if approved, will allow us build on League mentorship and infrastructure management. The budget is going to be tough. We'd love if Leagues boost our signal on this and most especially re-share a coming video that underlines how vital Leagues are to belonging in our city.

Goodbye, Old HQ
The EFCL is moving to Jerry Forbes Centre in January
The pandemic has shown the EFCL that we can work in new ways. That means we need less office space and that we're leaving the office we've used for close to 50 years,
We invite you to join us in a farewell event on Thursday, December 8, from 2-6pm. Drop in for some snacks, to take a last look or to chat with our staff.
For those interested, we also have some tables that any Community League can have for free. We have nine folding tables and eight tables that do not fold (the tables are 6’ long by 2.5’ wide by 2.5’ tall). Come get them ASAP.
As of January 3, EFCL will be headquartered at the Jerry Forbes Centre at 12122 68 Street. We look forward to sharing space with other organizations making change in our city, and connecting with Leagues in new ways in this part of the city.

Budget for Community
Additional funding request
EFCL has submitted two requests for additional funding in the next four year City of Edmonton budget. The Expanded Community League Supports request is based on the successful pilot project we ran for the past 3 years:
- hosting cafes;
- offering the mentorship program and resources;
- and providing online learning opportunities for Leagues.
The other request is the Tripartite Amenity Assessments that are noted in the latest Tripartite Agreement. This will allow us to continue to support and advocate for the right investments for League amenities across the city, over the next 10 years.

Request for Proposals
Membership portal
We're putting out a request for proposal to replace our existing membership processing system and database with one that can centrally track membership sales, and facility and amenity information.
Why? We want each League to have their own interface where they can control their membership options and pricing, integrate with their own payment processing provider, transfer past years' data, get reports, and control their own facility and amenity information. All of the League's sales information and statistics should feed into the main EFCL central portal, so we can generate master membership reports and to potentially charge Leagues for this service. This new membership process system should either have each League pay a low fee to EFCL, or have the fee built into the membership fees charged to purchasers.

Several Grant Opportunities
Women and Sport, Participaction
There are several grant opportunities Leagues may qualify for. Read on.
The Canadian Women and Sport Spotlight grant is aimed at sport programs that aid the inclusion of women, girls and gender diverse individuals. Application is now open.
The Participaction Grant is aimed at supporting under supported communities and providing access to sports for members of that community. Application opens in December.

We respectfully acknowledge the land upon which the EFCL operates is located on Treaty 6 Territory and has served a purpose as a traditional meeting ground for many First Nations groups. This territory has provided a traveling route and home to the Nakoda Sioux, and later, Blackfoot and Cree peoples, followed by Saulteaux and Métis and other Indigenous peoples.
