In the News

It’s been a good November here at Farming Hope. We’ve produced over 3,000 holiday meals, hosted a zero waste Fall Feast, and people are talking about us!

The Chronicle’s podcast Fixing Our City produced a beautiful episode walking through the journey our Apprentices take, from their first day to graduation.
Listen here!

Eater SF attended our Fall Feast and wrote this article
, calling out the Guest Chef events, how the dinners are important to supporting our mission, and how they are key to the experience of our Apprentices.

And in case you missed it back in August, KQED Arts did a
great feature as well!

Garden Glow Up

At the end of October, our garden Co-Managers Jacey and Adrian organized a garden clean up day. Adrian and Jacey are both graduates of Farming Hope and found a love for getting their hands in the soil at our training garden in the Western Addition. Both of them have gone on to work in landscaping, but spend their Saturdays working with current Apprentices in the garden.

Jacey and Adrian not only teach our apprentices how to care for plants and grow food, they also teach how gardening can be a healing experience. They usually begin the gardening sessions asking everyone to share their gratitude for the day with the group.

This Thanksgiving week, everyone on the Farming Hope team is grateful for each of you! Our deepest thanks to everyone in our community who cares about the work we do and makes it possible.
