 Hello MPI Upstate NY Members,
Happy Thanksgiving! We at MPIUNY are thankful for you and your membership!
Our goal at MPI Upstate NY is to develop the next generation of hospitality professionals, which will strengthen our industry as a whole. As members, it is important to encourage and share our experience, knowledge and love of the industry. I am looking forward to the hospitality industry's continued growth and success.
What a fantastic day we had at Fall Focus! It was great seeing many of you. The board is busy planning upcoming events and we're looking forward to seeing you again soon. In the meantime, please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any suggestions on future programs.
Please consider becoming more involved with MPI Upstate NY Chapter as volunteers are important to the success of the chapter. I became involved with MPI after I hosted the Board of Directors in Rochester many years ago. I loved the synergy, the members, and the mission of the chapter. I am so glad I got involved! This experience has allowed me to enhance my career and grow as an individual, it has taught me leadership skills and I've met some really amazing people that have supported me along my journey (many are now personal friends). 2022 November Fall Focus Recap
Thank you to everyone who participated in a fantastic day of education, networking and great conversations a the Excelsior Springs Event Center in Saratoga Springs.
Bill McCormick, our Keynote Speaker dubbed "Authentic Social Seller," started the day discussing how to build trust and authentic relationships with clients, prospects and decision makers.
Following round table discussions and lunch, Jim Spellos presented on the new normal working to help listeners become more productive and comfortable with technology. He discussed high tech, low cost and DYI resources.
After Mr. Spellos we were joined by a panel of industry professionals who discussed the essential elements of a successful Site Inspection. Thanks to our panel moderator, Christine Hoffer and panel participants Nancy Jess, Discover Saratoga; Theresa Wutzer, NYS Council of School Superintendents; Lisa Carroll, Courtyard by Marriott Saratoga Springs; and Justin Cheshire, Cheshire AV.
Lastly, THANK YOU for all the donations received for the Franklin Community Center! Lots of contributions were collected to provide necessities to Saratoga families. We look forward to seeing you at our next educational event.
