Jesper on behalf of the LiU Game Jam organizer group here. We are looking forward to meeting and making games with you this weekend!

A good advice I can give is to download any tools you need during the event to your machine now and test it out. So you can avoid spending first hours at event with technical troubles rather then jamming.

We will also have a booth at LiU Game Conference tomorrow Thursday 17th. Feel free to come by and talk game jamming with us.

Fall Game Jam 2022

A game jam is an event where programmers, artists and gamers come together and create games; both computer games and board games. Join us and build great games!

How to participate

Join the LiU Game Jam Discord server. We will use this Discord server for announcements during the jam.
Join the Facebook event so we can estimate amount of participants.
Create an itch.io account and join the Fall Game Jam Linköping 2022 jam page. This is where we'll upload the result.
Show up at Spektrum at 18:00 18th November. Bring the equipment you need in order to create games: laptop and peripherals, or physical game components.

18:00: Introduction
- Theme generation
- Brainstorming
- Group forming
18:10: Joint pizza order deadline

Saturday 19th November

09:00: Spektrum opens
- Breakfast (free)
16:00: Joint Chinese buffet order deadline
Around 18:00: Chinese food arrival and buffet
Around 18:15: Half time review

Sunday 20th November

09:00: Spektrum opens
- Breakfast (free)
11:00: Joint sushi order deadline
18:00: Game creation deadline
- Resulting games should be uploaded to itch.io
- Jammers should have cleaned their tables
18:15: Final review
19:00: Playtesting and showcase

Linköping Game Week

17th - 27th November

Starting with LiU Game Conference Linköping Game Week is 10 days dedicated to game development and game playing. Entire Linköping will be filled with activities so make sure to check out the other events on the Linköping Game Week website.

Share your jam!

We have started to collect all games made during our game jams on Itch.io. It is an impressive collection but it is only a fraction of all things we have created together.

Hence we encourage you to upload your old game jam projects to itch.io and send us a link to them.
