ADW's Chemistry and Flow Monitoring Concludes Stellar Season!

In September 2022, the Huron River Watershed Council, an ADW cooperating partner, concluded its 20th annual Chemistry and Flow Monitoring Program season!

Over the six month season, volunteers visited 23 sites across the Huron River and Downriver watersheds to collect water samples, measure flow, and monitor in-stream chemistry. This data will help the ADW track water quality conditions over time and investigate water quality impairments. Learn more at hrwc.org/chemflow2022.

  Tips

Go easy on the salt.

The best way to keep salt out of our streams during cold weather months is by shoveling snow and ice, and doing it early and often.

If you occasionally need a de-icer for sidewalks and driveways, choose an environmentally friendly product.
