Thanksgiving at ArkLight
Thanksgiving will be celebrated at ArkLight on Thursday, November 24, with song, music, folk dance, nature walk, verses, and prayers and of course with a delicious community meal with a blazing fire in the fireplace. Help will be needed, starting at one pm, to set up tables for the two pm dinner and after the meal for clean-up and loading the dishwashers. A sign-up sheet for the above and for potluck offerings (main dishes, vegetables, salads, gluten-free, desserts) will be sent out soon. After the Thanksgiving dinner, time is set aside for additional community sharing of music, a nature walk in the ArkLight woods, song, possibly a story, possibly some folk dancing. It will be what we make it!! Please share all your ideas and interest with Mary and others to create the rest of the celebration.
We are asking that people donate one of the following: food, firewood, help in preparation/cleanup or funds to help cover the cost of food purchased and prepared by ArkLight.
