CRASE Training
Stop the Bleed Training

Congregation Kol Ami is happy to announce another round of CRASE (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events) and Stop the Bleed training. We are conducting this training in conjunction with the Flower Mound police and fire departments respectively. This training is open to the public. You do not have to be a member of the congregation or have a member in attendance with you. Please feel free to bring as many friends and family to this very important training you would like; it could save your or another's life. Please Note: There are some graphic images and events in parts of the CRASE training that may be too intense for young children.

If you would like to join us for one or both of these fantastic training schedules, please use this link.

Heartfelt HaftarahAs a follow up to his last series, Taste of Torah, where the Rabbi discussed the Torah parasha each week, he has created a new series for this year, Heartfelt Haftarah. He will be discussing the companion haftarah for each Torah portion throughout the year.

We've posted the haftarah discussions for the 1st two portions of the year already - Bereshit and Noach. Tune in each week as the Rabbi goes through the yearly cycle and covers each related haftarah. He will also be discussing related items like the structure of the Tanakh, how and why the haftarah readings were chosen, and many more facts and ideas.

Each video should be posted no later than 8:00 AM on Thursday mornings each week. We've received a lot of positive feedback about the Taste of Torah and hope you find Heartfelt Haftarah just as informative and enjoyable!

You can always find it under the "From the Rabbi" menu on the website or use this direct link.

Group Outing for CKA

Rough Riders GameWe received enough positive response for this event that we'll try to find a date for a group outing that works for everyone. Bob is going to review all of the data and will propose 2 or 3 possible dates. If we can get the numbers needed to fill up our group, we'll be headed to the ballpark.
