Energy Equity for Renters Toolkit

A new toolkit developed by the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) provides guidance to communities looking to protect renters and preserve or create affordable housing while curbing needless greenhouse gas emissions. In collaboration with local government and community-based organizations in communities participating in the Energy Equity for Renters Initiative, this toolkit also offers guidance to local governments and stakeholder groups on how to integrate energy efficiency and affordable housing policy, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions and preserving affordable housing.

NFHA 2022 Fair Housing Trends Report Reveals Increase in Discrimination Complaints

This 2022 Fair Housing Trends Report is the latest in a series of annual reports from the National Fair Housing Alliance produced since the mid-1990s. The most important finding of this report is that the number of housing discrimination complaints increased significantly in 2021, despite the fact there were fewer agencies reporting complaint data underscoring the need for increased support for agencies that process and investigate complaints.
